The Butterflies and the Bees

Kaiyu sat at his tree with his eyes closed and his iPod full blast to some of the darkest and heaviest metal that one could find. He swayed his head back and forth along with the music until a noise started to perk his ears. He opened his eyes and saw a human girl walking towards his tree. He stared at her wondering who she was (having never seen Flareth before), and decided to turn off his music. "Who are you?" the Pikachu asked the girl.

The girl, who was wearing a cyan blouse and skirt, her long pink hair adorned with a moon pin, smiled at the Pikachu. 'My name is Flareth. I am a creature who shares the same piece of existence as Freia. Usually only one of us can be all there at a time, where the other exists in her consciousness. Usually Freia's the one who interacts with the world, while I'm just a collection of thoughts, but today she wants a break, so I get a chance to experience full life. It is incredibly pleasant.'

"I see," Kaiyu said taking this in. He was a bit sad that Freia wasn't there but since Flareth was like the same thing it shouldn't be that bad right? He put his hands to the ground and pulled himself up. "If you share an existence with Freia then why are you a human?" the Pikachu asked curiously.

Flareth thought for a moment. She felt sad that she couldn't answer Kaiyu's question. 'Please forgive me for being unable to answer your question. I lack a reason or an explanation.'

A Wigglytuff descended from the skies. 'Let's put it straight,' the 'tuff said. 'Stick it to the man. I mean, Pikachu. Am I even using the idiom correctly? Anyway, Flareth is a human because she's a pure wish fulfillment existence.'

Flareth hoped whoever's wishes she was fulfilling were good wishes. 'I exist to fulfill someone's wishes? What do you mean?'

Willard inflated and announced, 'You were created for the simple reason of pleasing Yip9. He wanted someone more beautiful than the day and night together. He's read too many fairy tales. Forget the fact that I'm in the egg group fairy.'

'Ah, so that explains why Yip9 fainted the first two times he saw me,' answered Flareth slowly. She absorbed and processed the information with difficulty. It's difficult to understand and accept that you exist for someone else. Little did she know all humans exist for the purpose of someone else. Flareth rubbed her head a little, then smiled. 'It doesn't really make sense, but I'm glad I can make someone happy. What's your next question, Kaiyu?' She hoped Kaiyu had more questions, because he seemed to ask questions that brought secrets to light, and even if his next question didn't, she was grateful for someone to talk with. It got lonely swimming in the sea of Freia's thoughts, with only the silly Flareon to talk to, and half the time Freia was focusing on the outside world.
