(If you don't know who this is for then you are a total noob. Yes, that means you, Gale.)

Reno skipped along the berryyards holding a basket in her hand and humming a sweet little tune to herself. She'd go to the trees and pick the berries off her vines and put them in her basket. "This will taste so yummy," Reno said to herself with a wide smile plastered on her face. I hope me and Oshy get to enjoy them together. She giggled and went on to pick more. "That would be nice," she said. Little did she know that there was a berry connoisseur nearby.

'Berries!' exclaimed the Berry connoisseur upon viewing the field from the air. She landed in happy time far enough away from the berryyard not to trample any plants, shrunk to her usual Chikorita form, and waddled up to the berry plants. As she was observing them and trying do decide which to harvest and which to let alone, she ran into a giggling Minccino. 'Uuuuuuuuf,' she complained cutely, getting to her feet with a bump on her head. 'You like Berries, too. Yay! Someone else is as sensible as yours truly,' she exclaimed joyfully.

Reno looked down as the Chickorita hit into her. Of course in the process she happened to drop her berry basket which made all of her berries drop and roll out. She sighed but picked up the berry basket and turned her attention to this Chickorita. There was enough time and berries that she could pick more for her and Oshy to share. "Yes I like berries," she said seeming a bit perplexed by this statement. "Don't more Pokemon like berries?" Reno asked curiously. "I mean Batteri doesn't really like them and Excalaber seems to think they're more useful as ammo for my head, but besides those two I haven't met anyone that didn't like berries!" Of course the Minccino with three F's did not notice that her sphere of Pokemon on this subject matter was limited to 6 Pokemon, of which 2 of were not berry lovers, giving a whooping 33% non-berry loving, not to mention the fact it's a small sample size.

'That's right,' chirped the Chikorita. 'Everyone should like berries. Sorry I knocked your berries away.' Before Reno could stop her, the Chikorita busied herself about refilling Reno's basket with the dropped berries. 'Oh, I forgot,' she stated when she had gathered all the berries into the basket. 'I'm Leaf! And berries are wonderful. What's your name? And what can we do about this Excalibur and Battery?'

Reno wanted to say something to the Chickorita about how she didn't need to put the berries back in the basket and that she could do it herself when this ping from the back of her head muttered to her in Excalaber's voice, "Just let her do, the less work you have to do the better." She sighed and gave into this voice. Oshy would not be happy with her. "I'm Reno," the Minccino told Leaf. "As for Excalaber and Batteri there isn't anything we can do with them. Oshy says I have to respect our differences and not try to change them or I'd be just as bad as them as well as asking for my but to be kicked. He's so smart." Reno started to smile when she thought about Oshy. A slight pink blush could be seen creeping across her cheeks.

'Reno's a nice name,' said Leaf cheerily. 'It sounds like a guy's version of Rena. Tell Battery and Excalibur they're really missing out. I wouldn't worry about what Oshy thinks unless he's a scary fire-type, but why would you get a bit pink when you think of Oshy? When I think of things that are so smart they're scary, or is it so scary they're smart, I usually squeak and run away, but when I'm just thinking of them, where is there to run? Oh, sometimes I wish I could Skill Swap with a Furret or a Buneary.' Leaf frowned a bit. She didn't like the idea of folks who like berries getting their butts kicked by folks who dislike berries. 'Do you like Shuckle?' she rambled on before Reno could respond to her previous words. 'They're a turtle-like bug that can turn Berries into Berry Juice.'

Reno started to get lost among all of the rambling on that the Chikorita did. This had her instead focus on the sharpest thing on her mind, which just happened to be the berries and Oshy. She dreamed up the scene that would happen that night. She'd bring over the basket full with ripe beautiful berries and show them to Oshy, and then eat them in peace while watching the beautiful nice sky from the top of a tall building. It sounded so dreamy. Now if only she could get to the task at hand, as well as make sure that Excalaber didn't find some way to mess with her dreams. It was only at the end in which Reno began to become conscious again. This led to her blabbering, "Yea yea, it's so nice and beautiful, but not as beautiful as you are." It's safe to say she planted herself deep into her silly dreams.

'Yup, yup,' agreed Leaf in an upbeat tone. 'Turtle-shelled yellow and pink rock-bugs that make Berries into Berry Juice are nice and beautiful, but plants are even more so. It's even more fun when plants can walk and talk. Do you have any friends like that?'

Reno put her hand on her chin and thought about her friends. "Well Excalaber is a grass Pokemon," she pondered aloud. "However she's more of a snake rather than a plant and is more mean than anything else. Cactii is a cactus so I guess she counts, but I'm not really that close to her." Reno shrugged and tried to think of more Pokemon but her mind turned to a blank. She really didn't have that many of friends, did she? "Aren't you a walking plant?" She asked the Chickorita, leaning her hand down and petting the Chickorita's head.

'I think so,' replied Leaf. 'But my evolved forms are dinosaurs, so there may be some meat in us, unless we're dinosaurs made out of pure vegetable. I suppose that's possible. I hope it's that way. Plants are the best; they're Absol fluty splendifurous. This Excalibur of yours sounds a lot like my trainer's Freia. She's a Flareon and is mean most of the time. The rest of the time she's scary and sometimes she's downright nasty, but somehow she's good friends with Sabrina, our trainer's Vulpix who is very nice to me. Sabrina is calm and cool, so she's perfect for me to take out my excitement on. Best of all, she likes berries, but even Freia does. Hmm. At a big building at the supposed center of the world, there's an important Pikachu named Chuchu. Even though he could be, he usually doesn't act high-and-mighty, at least toward me. It's fun to play with him. Other friends? Oh, have you met Aster the Leafeon? She's cute and bouncy and is a grassy girl like me. Then there's her Mommy Fiaa, a Vaporeon who used to play with me all the time before she began to raise a family. It's okay that you're not a walking plant. We can turn you into someone who walks and loves plants. Plant berries, share berries, eat berries, study berries, and savour the flavour!' the Chikorita ended her little speech with an exclamation and a happy giggle.

It seemed that yet again all of this information proved too much for Reno to be able to handle. She tried hard to stay attentive and get all of it in but most of it ended up lost between her random thoughts, that usually centered around Oshy, and just her lack of ability to be able to take in all that data. Being this horrible at listening it wasn't that much a surprise to find out that she was basically failing school. Of course Reno didn't want to tell her new friend that she didn't gather most of the information. So she just nodded her head and tried to pretend as if she was able to gather all the Chikorita said. She tried to form some response that would prove that she had listened to all that Leaf had said but unfortunately for Reno this didn’t seem to come out very well. “I see,” Reno started before sweating a lot. “That’s very nice,” she added. She then paused for a long bit before finally ending it with a silent nod. How she wished she could be better than this.

'It is very nice,' chirped Leaf in agreement. 'It seems you have a basket of berries. Would you like to gather a second basket? I'll help you carry it. Then we can pick them together and share them with everyone. We'll all eat some, then share the rest with the soggy soil in hopes of it sprouting some more. It's really a lovely idea, right?'

(Her first basket isn't full)

Reno looked down at the basket and remembered that Leaf was right. She hadn't finished her goal for getting the basket filled so that her and Oshy could eat them together in some sort of romantic peaceful scene. "Right!" Reno said loudly. "I have to get this basket filled completely with berries. "Let's do it!" She cheered before frantically going down the vines and picking berries as fast as she could. Hopefully this speed would encourage Leaf to also pick fast.

'Yay,' cheered the Chikorita, happy that the Minccino was excitedly picking berries. Leaf thought Reno was as interested in the berries as she was; she had no idea Reno was actually excited about Oshy, who Leaf thought was a fire-type scary enough that Reno had to respect what he thought. Leaf also didn't get why Reno was picking so fast. It was good to be raving about something as special as berries, but shouldn't you pick them with careful selection and savour the entire process? Maybe. As long as you were having fun with berries it didn't matter. Leaf hopped around in glee, took a basket out of nowhere, and began to fill it with berries, unconsciously picking them as slow as Reno was fast.

Reno just picked the berries at her frantic pace trying to get all of the berries into the basket as she could. She didn't really look at Leaf to notice how slow she was going. She just focused on her production and her thoughts of Oshy. Finally after a while it seemed like she was done. She stopped by the basket and panted resting her tired body. "That was a lot of work," Reno said with a slight smile on her face. While it took a long time to do and a lot of work, she'd be lying to say that she didn't enjoy it.

'Yes, indeed,' giggled Leaf. 'But it's fun work. Berries are the most wonderful thing in the world. Now, we have a clump of Pecha, Oran, two clumps of Aspear and Rawst, a few Lum, and a nice helping of regular Berries. How about some old Johto berries? We do have those in this spectacular field, don't we?' Leaf browsed around for a bit, then found a trace of each of the old Johto status-curing berries as well as some Gold Berries. 'And some berries only good for making Poffins and Pokeblocks, we can't forget about those. They taste superior. What does superior mean? I think it means they're nigh peerless, sort of like Black Knight Blazer.' After gathering all her berries, which took her three times as long as it took Reno, she turned to the Minccino. 'Please take me to your friends. Let's have a splendifurous time!'

Reno didn't seem to pay attention to the Chikorita much. She couldn't care less about all the berries and that jazz. It was only until the final invitation in which she actually did anything. At this she nodded happily. "Sure!" she said picking up the berry basket and starting to stroll off to her friends. She'd first introduce her to all of her friends, and then she'd take the berry basket along with Oshy and they'd have their alone time. It sounded like a perfect plan. Reno skipped along happily accidentally twirling the berry basket along with her, dropping berries here and there, thinking happily about her plans with Oshy. She was in dreamland.

Reno just continued to skip along until she arrived at the base where Oshy and Excalaber were standing right outside of. It seemed like the two were playing a game of some sort. Right when Reno saw this she dropped the berry basket in its place and ran over to Excalaber giving her a good tail slap to her back. Excalaber turned around and glared at Reno evilly. "What the f*** did you just do?" she asked Reno.
Reno started to sweat rapidly. "Nothing..." Reno said with a fake smile on her face.
Oshy turned to face the two and sighed. "Reno, why did you do thatzel?"
"No reason!" Reno quickly said running away from the scene and to the berries. She brought the berries over to the group. "Look! I got us berries."
"Thank you," Oshy happily said as he started to eat the berries.
"Well at least you're useful for something," Excalaber said as she rolled her eyes and munched on the berries.
Reno just sighed and munched on the berries sulkingly.

'Hi everybody,' chirped the Chikorita. 'I'm Leaf! We have berries! They're the tastiest ever and no mistake.' Leaf distributed her berries and Reno's dropped berries among the four Pokemon, making sure to give each Pokemon some of each type of berry. After thinking about it for a bit, Leaf decided her berry-eating companions would not like a crash course on the various types and attributes of berries right now and they should focus on the pure delight of eating them.

Oshy smiled happy at the Chikorita and thanked her for being kind enough to sort them all out. He then happily ate one tasting the differences in flavors for each.
Excalaber, however, was not as nice. When she got them she just gave Leaf a sneer saying, "You know we could sort it out fine ourselves." She then disregarded her pile and just stole whatever berries she could from Reno's pile.
Reno seemed too zoned out and sad to even notice or care. She mindlessly stuffed berries into her mouth just thinking and postulating what Oshy and Excalaber could have been doing while she was gone. Oh why did she have to be so stupid and decide to get berries for the group!

'You're most grandly welcome,' returned Leaf, happy that someone appreciated her work. 'Of course you could,' she said to Exalaber, completely missing the edge in the Snivy's voice. 'It's easy to sort berries, if you know your stuff. It seems you do, so would you please share your knowledge with yours truly? I hope to learn more from someone else in the know on the tastiest topic under the sun.'
