Comet uses Sky Uppercut once to demonstrate. Then he asks each of his students to jump their highest so he can measure at what point each one should use Sky Uppercut against an airborne opponent. For each he zaps a small Thundershock in the air to show this point. He molds each student's body into the correct position, then whistles. A Pidgey flies down for each trainee and hovers at the point where their upthrusts should reach, waiting for them to strike.

'Arrah!' exults Freia, missing her Pidgey completely and landing in a heap.

'Kyaa!' exclaims Fiaa, gracefully screwing up the form and lightly bopping her Pidgey with her mermaid tail.

'Boing!' yips Aster, executing the move perfectly and knocking her Pidgey back into the air.

"Rraah!" grunts Kaiyu, barely missing the bird with his tail but landing perfectly on his two feet. He looks over at Freia and playfully laughs at her heap land. "Look's like someone couldn't do it," he teased.

"aaaaa?" whispers Myukou, who couldn't jump high to start with and when she tried to do the swish of her tail it compeatly failed and she fell straight on her back which caused her to scream in pain.

Freia scrambles to her feet. 'Mr. Pikachu, I'll beat you yet,' she giggles.

'Something's wrong here,' calculates Comet. 'Even when Sky Uppercut misses, there shouldn't be any recoil damage. Aster.' His Leafeon daughter obliges by producing a big, wide cluster of leaves around and beneath Myukou to cushion any future falls. 'Let's adjust things. Kaiyu and Myukou, as anthro Pokemon you should use your fist, not your tail.' He fusses about the two, adjusting their form.

'I apologize for setting an incorrect example,' says Fiaa.

'Actually, my lady, you are the only one of the group who should be using her tail instead of her paw. It's the strongest appendage of a Vaporeon,' advises Comet.

'I have an idea for you, Freia,' says Comet. 'Try this.' Freia smirks and nods.

The Pidgey fly into formation. 'Yip!' chirps Aster, missing by a mile and landing with a roll.

'Excellent, Aster,' compliments Comet. 'Where'd you learn that breakfall technique? Hours of training finally paid off?'

'Oh Baba,' giggles Aster.

'Hoo-hah,' says Fiaa in a deep voice, performing much the same as in her previous effort.

'Uhnn!' grunts Freia, springing off her forepaws to jump high at a slight angle and smacking her Pidgey hard with both hind paws.

Kaiyu and Myukou listen to the advice, well one of them only half listens to the whole thing more focusing on how cool it will be once he's stronger and how hawt Freia's feet are.

Once Comet was done they turned to their Pidgeys to give it another try.

"Grrah!" Kaiyu exclaimed as he jumped up and slammed the Pidgey up and far into the air with a solid motion of his fists.

"hhhhh" Myukou whispered as she jumped a little bit from the ground and tried to hit the Pidgey with her fist in the same motion that Kaiyu did. Sadly, she was not as successful, missing the Pidgey totally and plummeting back onto the ground which caused her to squeal in pain... again, but lesser this time due to the leaves.

(ah the miracle of how weak Myukou is)

'Myukou, you can only jump this high,' Comet indicates the limit with a focused Thundershock in the air above Myukou's head, 'so wait until the Pidgey passes that line until you make your move. That way if you miss your fall shouldn't hurt. We're not dealing with Hi Jump Kick here.' Comet places a line of electricity in the air right where he had shown Myukou so she could gauge her jump during her next practice. This line of electricity is made of modified energy so it causes no damage or pain if touched.

Comet instructs his lady, 'Fiaa, practice a few vertical Quick Attacks.'

'For all your reputation of being graceful, you're not very good at this,' teases Freia, watching Fiaa practice. 'Too much practice with water?'

'That's it. Thanks, Freia,' grins Comet. 'Fiaa, use Waterfall, the version where you physically rise up with the flow. Now swing your Vaporeon tail at a high angle.' Fiaa does so with ease. 'Now do the same thing without the water.' Fiaa fails in her attempts. 'Let's both think on this for a bit,' says Comet.

'Aster, you know what to do,' says her sire, 'all you need is practice.'

'Okay Baba,' says his daughter, using Sky Uppercut, missing, and landing in her pile of leaves.

Comet cheers on the Pikachu, 'Kaiyu, you're doing great. Stick with it!' He then turns to Flareon. 'I like that new formation. Let's continue to use it.'

'Roriyaa,' shouts Freia, using an inverted Sky Uppercut very successfully.

'Super!' cheers Aster.

'Most tidly,' agrees Comet.

Fiaa and Comet look at each other and say at the same time, 'Water vapor.' Fiaa uses Waterfall with vapor instead of liquid water, whips her fin tail vertically, and smacks her Pidgey high into the sky. Fiaa blushes with pleasure. Fiaa and Comet lock eyes, beam at each other, and rub their cheeks together, purring.

'Mommy and Baba are lovebirds,' giggles Aster.

Freia rolls her eyes. Jealous? asks Flareth.

Drop dead, replies Freia.

More Pidgey fly in position for the Eevee and Pikachu.

Kaiyu continued to hit at his Pidgey with the sky uppercut and successfully hit each and every one, time after time, not paying much attention to the others. This kept on going until out of the corner of his eye he caught the Flareon's glare. At this, he quickly turned all of his attention away from the task at hand and onto the Flareon. He missed the Pidgey completely and landed on his belly with a plop and a groan. He raised his head only to stare at Freia and sigh, jealously.

Myukou, however, watched them all many times instead of trying it again herself. She wanted to watch the others so that she could know the correct way to do it, so she wouldn't fail. But sadly for her, right before she got around to sky uppercutting her targets, she noticed the glares of Freia, and more importantly Kaiyu. She sighed and fell down to her knees, now void of motivation to uppercut.

Comet leaves the others to continue their practice and walks over to the kneeling Eevee. 'Myukou, is everything okay?' he asked, concerned. Aster likewise stopped her attempts at Sky Uppercut to stand beside Myukou and hope she is fine.

Fiaa figures it would be best not to focus on Myukou, not wanting to give her pressure or embarrassment. She continues using Waterfall with water vapor to gracefully execute Sky Uppercut.

Freia laughs at Kaiyu's belly flop and keeps using her handsprings to Sky Uppercut with ease and power.

Kaiyu, don't mind Freia, kythes Flareth. She's just being Freia.

Kaiyu minds anyway and gets up and stomps over to Freia. His face shows the rage at being laughed at and his hands are balled up into little anrgy fists ready to cause what they're always been wanting. He goes up to Freia and growls. He then knocks her up into the air and then uses a successful sky uppercut on her, bring his hand up and punching her right where it hurts projecting her even more into the sky.

Myukou sighs and nods. "Everything is Fine..." She stares out at KAiyu with her blank open sad eyes, staring and watching. They stare, wide. She ignores the pain that has sprouted its red self, hoping that others would do the same and just ignore her and her pain.

Freia gets knocked so high that she turns into a star, then she uses Dig, emerging from underground and smacking the Pikachu hard with a powerful earthclaw. 'Aren't reversals fun, Kaiyu? You'll have to ask Sabrina to figure out that one.'

Fiaa: 'The two seem to be crazy about each other, wouldn't you say?'

Aster nods and giggles.

Comet closes his eyes, focusing. A stream of golden flakes wafts across Myukou.

Kaiyu smirks happily through out the whole time in which he thinks Freia is in the air pleased with himself and his attack. That is until he feels her powerful claws go against him and he sees that she's attacking him. He wonders how in the world she was able to do that, the feeling of robbery so bitter. He growls at her again and jumps back from her, "No they are not fun," he replies. "I think it's much funner when I win." And with that comment he fires off a sharp thunderbolt headed straight for the center of her stomach.

Myukou notices this and watches them, wondering what they are, and trying to see what effect they'd end up having.

Comet's Wish is granted and Myukou's pain disappears as she is restored to full health. 'Well friends, tradition in Yip's Pokemon training is if two trainees decide to have an impromptu match, we just let them go at it. Myukou, would you like to watch or start on the second usage of Sky Uppercut?'

Freia smirks at the Pikachu's displeasure and pops back underground through the hole she just dug. Flareth giggles, Popping in and out of your hole? What are you, a Furret? You're certainly furry enough and you have the speed and skill with Quick Attack.

Nah, they're normal-types, replies Freia. 'Normal' is slang for 'boring.'

'How's your emergency-type training coming, my daughter?' queries Fiaa.

'Uguu,' mews Aster, 'It's really hard.'

'It must be like asking me to perform a fire-type move,' answers Fiaa, 'but in your case it really is possible. Collect most of the water in your plant cells and exude it in a focused burst.'

All Aster's leaves droop as water gets sucked out of her cells. With a sigh, she performs Water Gun, shooting a stream of water that Fiaa absorbs. Fiaa then surrounds Aster with Aqua Ring so the Leafeon can refresh herself and rehydrate. 'Thank you, Mommy, you're the best.'

'Let's give it our all,' yips Fiaa happily.
