The two humans

Myukou sighs and waits upon the tree. The same tree that she's almost always at during rest. She leans against the tree and looks up to the sky. She's human, now, not in her normal Eevee form, but rather the odd form she acquired one day. She looked out to the sky and just stared at it blankly with a sigh. She had light brown skin like her Eevee fur would have been. She wore a black T-shirt, and some light blue jeans just like she did when she was an anthro Eevee. Her feet were in some cool sandals, that she wore even though she hated and feared feet. Her long hair was in pigtails, each bushy one to the side going all the way down to the floor. She sighed.

Some dude walks across a field up to the tree upon which Myukou leans. His eyes and his short hair are brown. He is clad in nondescript blue jeans and a greyed-out camouflage-colored T-shirt with a big white number 9 down the front. He's wearing white crew socks and dirty white sneakers. Atop his head is a very dark blue cap embossed with a white shooting star. On his back is a backpack similar to the one carried by Ash/Red in Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow and it definitely isn't empty.

He waves a hand in greeting. 'Hi, my name's Yip9. I came here in hopes of meeting Myukou, Sara's sister. Have you seen her?' The dude pauses and shakes his head. 'Sorry, why should I think you would have any idea what I'm talking about just because you happen to be leaning against the tree I was directed to? Sara is a biped clothes-wearing Eevee I train from time to time. She loves ice cream. Her favorite move is Thunder Swift. Her cousins are called Kaiyu and Niyu. She exhibits advanced psychic powers called mewpowers. I think she's fairly popular around these parts. Ever heard of her? Oh yeah, she also goes by the name Salyu. Anyway, I've enjoyed reading stories of her little sister called Myukou. I asked Sara to introduce us, but she or Myukou was always busy, so today I was told I'd get to meet Myukou if I came to this tree, the tree where Myukou and Kaiyu, her Pikachu cousin, often rest. They look up at the sky, just like you're doing now.'

Myukou looks down to inspect the trainer. She looks him up and down and looks at him with curiosity. So this was the Yip that Salyu sometimes referred to. She wondered why he'd want to meet her, but it didn't matter. Anyone that wanted to see her would be a surprise, minus the exception of Kaiyu. She gets up and looks straight out at him. "Yip," she starts, "I am Myukou. Don't ask me why I don't look like an Eevee right not but this is just the other form I have." She sighs and looks out towards the sky again, waiting for the response.

'Nice to meet you,' Yip9 says, 'are you sure you don't want to tell me how you switched forms to become a human? I think that would make for a blasted interesting story. If you're really not in the mood to spin the yarn, the short version will do.' He looks into the sky, wondering if there's anything interesting or unusual that Myukou is observing.

Myukou shakes her head no. "I don't really know myself," she says softly. "It's really a long story of all that happened, and I'm afraid I don't want to share." She sighs and looks back up to the sky. There is nothing really special in the sky at all. The only thing that is really there, is the sky itself.

'Ah,' replies Yip9. 'I know, you're a really intelligent lady and would make a great strategist. Would you like to train some Pokemon? I have any species from National Pokedex entries #1 Bulbasaur through #384 Rayquaza, minus Kadabra, Alakazam, Machamp, Slowking, Houndoom, Umbreon, Smeargle, Treecko and Torchic families, Surskit, Masquerain, Meditite, Medicham, Roselia, Zangoose, Lunatone, Huntail, Gorebyss, Shelgon, and Latios.

Additionally, I have caught Leafeon, Pachirisu, Finneon, Shellos, Buizel, Azelf, Gastrodon, Starly, Bidoof, Combee, and Uxie from the Sinnoh region.

Psychic Pokemon and I don't get along so well, aside from the legendaries, who tend to understand me really well. Then there's Mewtwo, who hates my guts, and Azelf and Uxie, with whom I can't seem to communicate at all.

In short, there's quite a selection. Here's a Pokedex for your reference. Please take your time and have fun. I bet I can learn a lot from you.'

Myukou takes the pokedex and looks through all of the pokemon that she has from to choose. She takes a long look at most of them before turning her head up to Yip and softly asking him, "What do you suggest I train?" She a bit confused about this whole training thing. It was something that she never done before and something unnatural to her. She didn't know how to react to it. But she'd try...

Yip9 gives her a wild smile. 'Would you like to attempt to train my Mewtwo? It never listens to me, but with someone as special as you, there's a good chance. I'm not flattering you, I've read what you're capable of.'

Myukou looks at you confused. She wasn't capable of anything, where would he read such lies. She had no idea who would say such things about her. She wondered what he could even be talking about. She turns to Yip and looks confused directly at him. "What are you refering to?" she asks the Yipper.

'That Wigglytuff,' replies the Yipper, 'It commends you to me like you're the earth and sky. It utters such compliments that I would not repeat lest they induce your blushing. At any rate, you're an author. Authors possess creativity and that's what it's going to take to train my stubborn Mewtwo. We do need a backup plan in case our efforts backfire. Kevin the Absol should do the trick.'

An Absol enters the field in a shower of scarlet sparks. 'Kevin, this is Myukou, the other little Eevee.'

'Hey Myukou, peace be with you,' greets Kevin. Turning to Yip9 he says, 'The other little Eevee? You really like the species, don't you?' Kevin gives Myukou another glance. 'Are you sure she's an Eevee?'

'Just messing with ya,' jests the trainer. 'So Myukou, want to give it a whirl? If not, do you have another Pokemon in mind?'

Myukou doesn't mind about the pokemon that much and she figures that whatever Yip wants would be fine with her. Still she doesn't believe the lies he says but she'll give it a try, she just hopes that she won't end up failing too badly. She nods to Yipper, and says, "If you think that's a good choice, then I'll do with it."

Mewtwo poofs out of its Master Ball. It immediately uses its psychic powers to throw Yip9 to the ground, snarling, 'You're letting me out? Stars, you're stupid.' With that, it starts to walk away.

Kevin and Yip9 look at Myukou expectantly.

(Yipper's not lying. Myukou is an author - she writes stories about her friends and things she observes.)

(She was talking about the compliments)

Myukou watches the Mewtwo that is walking away with her open green eyes. "Why are you leaving?" she asks the mewtwo projecting her soft and calm voice. "Why do you resent Yip so?" She inches over to the Mewtwo. "Is there any reason why, and if so what are they?"

Mewtwo doesn't turn around, but it pauses to answer, 'I was the prize for beating the Kanto Elite Four and finding the way through the Unknown Dungeon. That idiot needed me to help Oak complete his Pokedex. I said I'd let him capture me if he could best me in battle. I didn't expect his Lapras to freeze me solid. What kind of idiot uses a Pikachu-Squirtle-Lapras team, anyway? He likes Mew, which is my evil clone. He's not on my level. I have no reason to work with him.'

Myukou thinks for a bit and then answers. "You say he's not on your level yet he bested you? To make matters worse he had a Pikachu and Squirtle, Pokemon that aren't commonly seen to be strong Pokemon. He outsmarted you and that's how it goes, you can't say he's not on your level when he clearly beat you. It doesn't make sense. Really the fact that he beat you with such weak Pokemon only weakens your case. You were caught as you fell for it. Maybe you're not on level with him..."

Hey! protests Yip9 mentally, My Squirtle and Pikachu are not weak.

Mewtwo flicks its muscular tail. 'The Pikachu and Squirtle couldn't cut it. Like I said, the idiot got lucky when his Lapras' Ice Beam froze me solid. I shouldn't need to tell you that regardless of how high level you are, unless you have Flame Wheel you can't do jack if you get frozen. Whatever. It's none of your business.' With that, a twist of the mind sent the hapless trainer sprawling.

It would have, if not for Kevin the Absol, who stepped in front of his trainer and nullified the attack. 'Yip9, should I stop him?'

'It's already registered in the Pokedex. I would like to have a complete collection available to explore the potential of many, learn about even more, have the right friend by my side in any situation, and present my opponents with all the options, but Pokemon aren't slaves.'

Mewtwo resumes walking away without so much as a 'Good-bye.'

Myukou sighs and just goes back to yip thinking over and over in her mind about how she wasn't able to bring the Mewtwo back to yip and how she failed so miserably. She let herself fall to the ground in defeat. She lay there on the ground with her head covered by her arms, sighing sadly to the ground.

'Go fetch,' says Yip9 to his Absol.

'Very good, sir,' Kevin replies.

'I'm sorry, Myukou,' apologizes Yip9, sitting on the ground besides the saddened lass. 'I shouldn't have given you a difficult task right off the bat. That's not your failure; it's just the nature of the beast.'

A moment later Kevin returns with a certain being in tow. The trainer greets him, 'Hi Kaiyu.'

Myukou just sighs and stays on the ground not really paying attention to Yip having seen the same words being used many times over and over again. It's only to make others feel better, there is no substance behind any of the words. She was a failure and that was that it was nobody else's fault but hers and that was that.

Kaiyu looked first at Yip and then at Myukou feeling weird and wondering why he was even there. He paced around a little bit and didn't say anything; the Eevee never really moved away from her sadness.

The trainer takes Kaiyu aside and explains the sad situation to him, while the Absol shares the misery of the lass.

Kaiyu sighs in the news but has no idea what to do himself. He shrugs.

Myukou just continues her sulking not really sure why or how Yip saw any good in her. She wasn't good.

A little grass-type pops out of a Poke Ball in an arc of crimson confetti and trots over to the Eevee while eating a Magost Berry. She gulps it down, licks her mouth clean, then addresses the Eevee, 'Hi Miss Myukou, remember me? I heard you were learning to train Pokemon.' She bows, head-leaf flapping down, then springing back up. 'I'll be under your care.'
