Poking fun at legendaries
Groudon and Kyogre have the same stat average as Slaking.
Arceus' base stats are straight 120s, Spinda's are straight 60s. Therefore an Arceus is as powerful as two Spinda.
Mew is the cry of a kitten. Mewtwo is two of these baby meows.

Arceus is supposed to be god, yet he didn't create life. Mew did, therefor, Arceus is not god.
Re: Poking fun at legendaries
According to the Diamond Pokedex:
[Arceus] is described in mythology as the Pokémon that shaped the universe with its 1,000 arms.
If you look at a picture of Arceus, it has four legs and no arms.

To quote a competitive battling guide for Pokemon Red/Blue: 'Charizard might be the Articuno of fire. Moltres certainly isn't.'
Poor failure of a fire goose.

Freia is a fire goose, but I was referring to Moltres, who looks like one. Moltres tried to be a Phoenix, but Ho-oh outshone it both in stats and in moves. Nevertheless, both are flaming poultry.

Dragonite, Tyranitar, Metagross, Salamance, and Garchomp are stronger than any pokemon from any of the legendary trios, so are they really legendary?
