Argel, a male Marill destined to succeed Yip9 as the tenth benevolent dictator of Yipyip Tundra

Mini-biography: Elsia was born on the 27th day in the month of Lapras, Articuno's reign, in the Thunder Lake region of Somewhere Or Other, the same planet that is home to Yipyip Tundra and Mount Yipyip. One day a spray of stray triak, way off course from their desert of a Southern Triangle, attacked her father's boat, then an aberrant grand burst of a thunderbolt struck the craft, saving the family by splitting the triak, but sending them all to kingdom come. Elsia surfaced a solar system or two away, where she spent her formative years in Filgaia's Sielje Region as the heir of the Eleniak school of umbrella-fu, simultaneously training as a crest strategist at Sielje's famous academy, where among other things, they teach one how to use Teleport Gems. Elsia's exceptional bad luck with this type of item reached its climax when at the age of fourteen she botched a teleport, accidentally returning to Somewhere Or Other, this time to what was then its Yip's Isle region, where she met Yip9 and rocked his world. In fact, there's a whole story about that, titled 'Crystal', in the fanfiction section.

Elsia has two motivations for coming to this island: to collect a representative of each Pokemon species there and to get revenge on Yip9 because he used to be enamored with her but changed to show attraction to multiple other girls. Elsia has also heard of Flareth and wants to appear with Flareth before Yip9 and force him to choose.

Appearance: Elsia has jade eyes and long brown hair, her bangs swept up with a hair band. Sometimes she arranges her hair with various accessories such as her moon pin, cute ribbon, and her tiara that she saves for special occasions. She stands 5'4" with slightly lighter than average weight.
Elsia's favorite dress is a blue blazer with matching cape and skirt, and white tights that extend from her mint-hued sneakers to just above her knees. Elsia is always seen sporting an umbrella or parasol, her favorites being the bow parasol, with the colors of the rainbow in concentric octagons, blue outermost, and the violet sky, an umbrella of the same soft purple as her moon pin.

Personality: Elsia is basically a Yip9-style Mary Sue. For example, she is like Fiaa without the formality and mother aspects, like Aster without being a little girl, and she possesses Freia's self-confidence without her mean streak. In case you aren't familiar with the above three characters, when properly portrayed Elsia is sweet, kind, thoughtful, energetic, cheerful, graceful, and doesn't complain much. She can be a bit impatient, but isn't easily angered. It's difficult to tell when she's stressed because she processes it so easily. Elsia didn't used to be jealous or envious, but she became accustomed to Yip9 madly loving her, so once his affection spread out, she felt something was missing.

History of Pokemon: One night under a full moon, Elsia dreamt of a Skitty who came right up to her and asked to be her starting Pokemon. When she woke up, the Skitty was right there on her bed, greeting her with a 'Nyaa.' Elsia had heard tales of Pokemon trainers' quests to catch Pokemon and challenge the Pokemon league, and since she desired to wander the world and perfect her fighting skills, not to mention relish untold adventures, Elsia set out on her Pokemon journey. On the route between Petalburg City and Mr. Briney's Cottage, Elsia ran into a Marill named Argel who proclaimed he would be the future ruler of Yipyip Tundra. Now Elsia had a history with Yipyip Tundra, so she discussed the matter with Argel, who then decided he had been sent to Elsia for her protection. Mr. Briney told her a tale of a new island for Pokemon trainers to explore and gave her a ticket to a ship that sailed there. On the way to the port, which was a man-made route without Pokemon, a Swellow flew up to Elsia, placed a parcel in her hand, and zipped away. Elsia paused to sit down and unwrap the parcel, which contained a Moon Stone, along with a note which read,
'Best of luck, Bright Elsia.' -Yip9
Elsia smiled happily. Having heard of the relation between Skitty and Moon Stones, she at once touched Karis with the Moon Stone, evolving Karis into a Delcatty. Elsia spent the voyage getting to know Karis and Argel better. She couldn't wait to debut as a trainer in her undiscovered country.
