Core Blast (Eon)

A Sableye glided up to a brother-sister pair of Eeveelutions. 'I've been hired by someone who envies Espeon and hates Umbreon,' it announced in a dangerous tone. 'You may as well give up now.'

*The two look at the Sableye in confusion at first, then quickly put up their guards and stand side-by-side in a fighting stance.*

Aiden: *growls, narrowing his eyes at it* It doesn't concern us who you are or who you work for-
Naomi: *growls angrily* we will never stand down to you.

'Is that so?' asked the Sableye, before it broke canon, using Dark Void and putting the Eons to sleep.

*Naomi and Aiden cringe and fall to the floor unconscious, unable to resist the heavy urge to sleep put upon them.*

The Sableye gathered Aiden and Naomi in a strange sack and took them elsewhere. When they woke up, they could see some dude standing before them, looking down at them, with the Sableye next to him, upside down and paralyzed. 'It's true that I hate Umbreon and envy Espeon,' the guy said, 'but this Sableye just broke canon. That's inexcusable. Any suggestions?'

*Naomi and Aiden glare at the man and the Sableye, growling deep within their chests.*

Naomi: It does not concern us what you do with it.

Aiden: Punish it as you see fit; we will not decide its fate.

'Interesting,' said the fellow, half to himself. 'Firm yet kind little guys, aren't you?' He reached to pet the Espeon, fully expecting her to Bite off his hand.

Naomi: *her growling deepens and she bares her teeth.* Don't touch me!

Aiden: *his growling deepens as well and he tries to reach over and bite the man.*

'Very interesting,' the man replied to Naomi, as the Sableye flipped upright and shifted position to take Aiden's Bite. 'You liked it when I petted you before. You even purred and smiled.'

Naomi: *her growling begins to subside slightly.* Why have you brought us here?

The fellow counted on his fingers. 'First, my Sableye needs to work for its gems. They're expensive food, you know? Second, I wanted to see you again. Third, I want to see what you're like in a completely different situation. Fourth, the best way to get over my hatred of Umbreon is to spend time with one.'

Naomi: *sighs and her growling vanishes completely, allowing her body to relax.* I would have appreciated it if you had not done so.

Aiden: *slowly allows himself to relax somewhat, still unsure of the situation.*

The dude insensitively just smiled at Naomi's comment. 'Why don't you try to guess why I envy Espeon and hate Umbreon. Your speculation could prove interesting. Alternatively, you can beat the stuffing out of me for treating you roughly. Note that my Pokemon will try to defend me. They're strangely loyal like that. The choice is up to you.'

Naomi: *shakes her head.* I do not know why you envy Espeons and hate Umbreons, however, we have no need to be disturbed by your opinions nor need we ponder why it is so. *She glances at the Sableye.* Furthermore, we do not wish to fight you considering you have brought us no harm.

Aiden: *continually glances between the man and Sableye with hardened eyes.*

(Sorry for the delay. I had to work. The delay may be longer because you have effectively killed off my plot ideas.)

'I suppose you want to go fishing?' suggested the fellow. 'It looks like it may rain soon.'

'I don't know Rain Dance,' interjected Sableye.

'I know someone who does,' replied its trainer.

Naomi: *tilts her head and her ears twitch* Excuse me?

Aiden: *scoffs and stares daggers at the man* Fishing is not something we prefer.

'Gah!' exclaimed the man in frustration, grabbing the Umbreon and shaking him. 'What do you prefer?'

Bored with the situation, the Sableye snacked on a pair of quartz crystals. It was hoping for a nice ruby, but beggars can't be choosers.

Aiden: *growled and pulled away from the man, shaking himself off a bit.* I take pleasure in battling.

Naomi: *her tail tips twitch for a moment* I prefer spending my time meditating and being outdoors.

Aiden: *looks over at Naomi quizzically.* You always enjoyed battling when we were younger.

Naomi: *smiles and nods.* Yes, battles are never looked down upon. At this point in my life however, I have found other activities to indulge in as well.

'That's more like it,' said the guy amiably. Looking at Naomi, he said, 'What are these outdoor activities you like? I'll send out a Pokemon to accompany you.' Shifting his gaze to Aiden, he added, 'Battles are grand. Want a match with Sableye?'

Naomi: I find walking and enjoying my surroundings relaxing. It's when I'm outdoors that I meditate most. *bows her head briefly* It would be most kind of you to allow some company to come along with me.

Aiden: *glances at the Sableye and gives a rather unfriendly smile.* And I accept your offer.

(I like your Diamond/Pearl sprite avatar. Espeon is cute, isn't she? I apologize for failing to update. I decided to sleep on it in hope of coming up with a better idea for an update.)

(Thank you. Yes Espeon is quite cute, but so are the other Eeveelutions. However, it's quite alright, I'll wait for your reply patiently.)

With a burst of light, a Lapras exited its Poke Ball. After looking around for a second and acknowledging the Eons with neck bows, the Lapras said, 'Hi, my trainer has nicknamed me Ellsia. I'd like to accompany you today.'

'You'll be accompanying the Espeon titled Naomi,' the trainer instructed his Lapras. 'Aiden the fine young Umbreon is due for a match with Sableye.'

'Lovely,' replied Ellsia sincerely, giving Naomi an open-mouthed smile.

'Umbreon is faster than Sableye, so you get the first move,' Sableye said to Aiden, taking a hungry yet guarded stance.
